The following incidents were recently reported to the Fort Belvoir Provost Marshal Station:

Traffic
• An individual was charged with driving with a suspended license. The individual attempted to gain access to post but could not produce a driver's license. Upon further investigation, it was found the individual's license had been suspended.
• An individual was charged with failure to stay in one lane and causing a traffic accident, with damage to government property. The individual stated they swerved to avoid a deer and hit the opposite lane's guardrail. The vehicle sustained damages to the front bumper, fender, front and back wheels and doors and rear bumper. The estimated cost of damage is unknown.
• An individual was charged with damage to government property from a traffic accident. The individual backed a government vehicle into a fire hydrant, denting the chrome portion of the rear bumper. The estimated cost of damage is unknown.
• An individual was charged with fleeing the scene of a traffic accident that resulted in damage to private property. The individual backed out of a parking space and struck another vehicle, then left the scene without inspecting for damages. Both vehicles sustained damages to the fenders and taillights. The estimated cost of damage is unknown.
• An individual was charged with disregarding a stop sign and, upon further investigation, was found to be driving with a suspended license.
• An individual was charged with damage to private property as the result of a traffic accident. The individual failed to stop in time and struck another vehicle, causing disabling damages to the subject's vehicle and bumper and undercarriage damages to the victim's. The estimated cost of damage is unknown.
• One individual was charged with causing an accident resulting in personal injury and driving without an operator's license. Another individual was charged with permitting a vehicle to be operated without a valid license. The driver failed to yield the right of way and struck another vehicle. The subject's vehicle sustained damages including a bent frame, hood and front fenders. The victim's vehicle also sustained a bent frame. The estimated cost of damage is unknown.

Wrongful Damage
• An unknown individual committed wrongful damage to government property.
The individual damaged the door to a storage room.
• Unknown individuals committed wrongful damage to government property. A brick was used to break a building's window. More damage was done to the building's inside walls. The estimated cost of damage is unknown.
Assault
• An individual was charged with simple assault after being involved in a verbal altercation and throwing an object at another person, striking him or her in the head.
• An individual was charged with spouse abuse after grabbing the spouse by the neck and throwing him or her down. The individual sustained bruises to the neck and back.
