Fairfax County Marine Police Officers search the water of Pohick Bay across from Tompkins Basin for a police officer who was participating in dive and rescue training when he became separated from the team. The Fairfax County Police and fire crews are receiving help from a number of agencies in the search for the officer. Fort Belvoir's game warden briefly assisted in the search Wednesday. According to reports by FOX 5 News, a 42-year-old male officer was playing the role of a victim during a training exercise with a dive team, when he was reported missing Tuesday afternoon. Fairfax County officials have not identified the missing man who is a 19-year veteran officer.
