Belvoir conducts blasting operations at EPG

Fort Belvoir conducts blasting operations for the placement of infrastructure utilities at the post's Engineer Proving Ground between the hours of 3 to 5 p.m. through Nov. 12.
Safety and explosive ordnance disposal experts will carry out the controlled blasting at the former training site. Though small in size, the detonations may be possible to hear and feel the blast in neighborhoods near the site.
There should be minimal noise and vibration impact to surrounding communities associated with the blasting activities since most of the blasting will be focused below the surface.
