Where were you born?
I was born in Staten Island, N.Y., but actually grew up on Long Island. My hometown was Hicksville, N.Y. That's where I spent most of my childhood.
How long have you been at Belvoir?
I still feel relatively new. I've been here 18 months.
What professional goals do you have?
To bring things up-to-date and have a 21st century library program at Fort Belvoir. Because we're on a military installation, I also want to make sure we're geared as much as possible to all the Soldiers and military families, too. That's very important.
Have you ever spent time in the military?
I spent time in the Army Reserve and traveled overseas to Guam and Korea.
What are some of your hobbies?
I like reading about politics and current affairs. Most of all, I really enjoy attending concerts by the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. I have season tickets and always look forward to their performances.
What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy meeting and interacting with all our customers. So many unique people use this library. It's incredible and I've heard so many wonderful stories.
To date, what is your best Fort Belvoir memory?
Six months after I started working here, the library got a new roof installed. That was a big accomplishment and a long-time coming from what I understand. I like to think I brought a little luck to the library.
