A section of Middleton Road behind Gerber Village closes for construction next week, according to the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security.
Construction begins Monday on the road between 18th and 19th streets to place a sewer line as part of the ongoing renovation of Gerber Village, according to Spencer Harvey, operations officer for DPTMS.
Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily during the construction period, which is scheduled to be completed Feb. 22, Harvey said.
"We do not expect too much of an impact on traffic flow," he said.
