AAFES book and magazine supplier ceases operations

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Anderson News, the current supplier of books and magazines for the majority of Army & Air Force Exchange Service facilities in the United States, announced last week they have ceased operations.

As a result of Anderson's decision to suspend business activity, the availability of many best-selling weekly and monthly magazines at stateside base and post exchanges are being impacted.

"We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and want to assure military shoppers this is an extremely important issue to AAFES," said Tim Calkins, Contracting Officer for AAFES Books and Magazines. "We are working diligently to find a replacement source as soon as possible to minimize the impact our book and magazine wholesaler's actions are causing."

Delivering books and magazines to AAFES facilities outside the continental United States is not affected by Anderson News' suspension of operations.
