I'm the catering director. I was banquet manager before that.
Where are you from?
Proud to say I'm a native of Broxton, Ga. I lived there until I was 21. I currently live in Dumfries.
How long have you been at Fort Belvoir?
I've been working here for two and a half years.
Were you ever in the military?
No.
What are some of your hobbies?
I play for the Fort Belvoir Women's Softball Team. I also love singing and I'm a member of the Reconciliation Community Church Praise and Worship team in Manassas. I'm also a dance coordinator for the church. We have 16 members ages 9 to 24.
What do you like most about your job?
The interaction I have with customers. We handle many events, such as weddings, birthdays and retirements. It's a lot of fun. We make sure each event is held with excellence because it's something our customers will remember for the rest of their lives. Everyone is important and we take our jobs seriously.
What do you like most about working at Fort Belvoir?
I really enjoy my job and have been able to meet many interesting clients and challenges along the way. I'm also blessed to have such wonderful co-workers and enjoy working with them very much. Our annual bridal expo is coming up. I'm really looking forward to that, too. That's always exciting!
