• What do you do at Fort Belvoir?
I'm assistant director for the South Post Child Development Center.
• How long have you been working here?
It will be four years in July.
• Where are you originally from?
Merrill, Wis.
• What are some of your job responsibilities?
I supervise our pre-school and pre-K staff, and ensure the overall operation of the facility.
• What do you enjoy most about your work?
Watching children progress. To see what they accomplish firsthand is pretty amazing.
• Have you ever served in the military?
I haven't, but, my husband, Rodney, is an active-duty Soldier with the Army's Criminal Investigation Command.
• What are some of your hobbies?
I'm a soccer mom, so, I stay busy with my son, John's, traveling soccer team. They've traveled around and competed in different states.
• What do you like about Fort Belvoir?
There are a lot of opportunities in this area. It's great for families.
• Do you have a favorite Belvoir memory?
Last year, in celebration of the Army's birthday, Command Sgt. Maj. Tracey Anbiya came to the center and read to our kids. That was really nice of her and it was a lot of fun for everyone here.
