• How long have you been here?
I have worked at the North Post [Child Development Center] for two years. I also have five years experience working as a paraeducator in a Montessori - 1/2 combo class and as an activities coordinator for the after school program and summer camp program in California.
• Where are you from originally?
I am from South Dakota.
• What are some of your responsibilities?
Planning and implementing activities that meet the children's needs and interests; ensuring the environment is safe and healthy; and helping the children enhance their skills before they enter kindergarten.
• What do you enjoy most about your work?
I enjoy spending time with the children and watching them grow. The best part is the expression on their faces when they accomplish a task, such as tying their shoes.
• What challenges do you encounter with your work?
Each day can be a challenge, but it is welcomed. They are our future leaders.
• What are some of your hobbies?
I enjoy scrapbooking, shopping and playing volleyball with my girls.
• Have you ever served in the military?
No.
• What are your future plans?
I plan to complete my degree and either teach in Special Education or [become a certified public accountant].
What is your favorite Belvoir memory?
I would have to say all of the fabulous snow this season has brought.
