ODU
Old Dominion University offers a Master of Science in Education with full licensure through its Military Career Transition Program. Active and retired military, military spouses and qualified civilians are eligible for the program.

Teaching licenses are offered in elementary grades PreK-6, middle school and high school (a subject-area focus in high school applies). Licenses awarded through the program are transferable to 48 other states and U.S. territories through the National Reciprocity Agreement.

MCTP is an approved Troops to Teachers program and an option for servicemembers considering teaching as a second career.

Registration is now open for Fall 2010 semester. ODU's Belvoir office in Barden Education Center's Room 144 is open Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 703-781-8203 for more information.

Central Michigan University
Registration is open for Fall 2010 classes at Central Michigan University, with classes beginning Aug. 20. CMU offers a Master of Science in Administration degree.

CMU accepts applications year round. Classes meet on alternating weekends or weekday evenings. New classes begin every six weeks and degree completion in is available in 18 to 24 months.

Webster U
Webster University's registration is open for its Fall 1 & 2 terms, which run from August to December.

Programs are offered in the D.C. metro area at Bolling and Andrews Air Force bases and the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. Up to 15 credit hours may be transferable from military schools and other universities.

Webster offers five, nine-week terms per year and 9 to 15 credit hours may be transferred from military schools or other universities.

Mondays through Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Fridays, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Northern Virginia Community College
The next session at NOVA starts Aug. 9. Classes are open to everyone. NOVA has distance learning, hybrid classes and flexible schedules.

College students home for the summer can earn NOVA credits that transfer to their four-year college. NOVA participates in the Military Spouse Tuition Assistance (MyCAA) program.

Campuses in Alexandria, Annandale, Loudoun, Manassas, Springfield and Woodbridge.

Many students qualify for financial aid in the form of scholarships, grants, loans and work study.

Park University
