Road work
Through Nov. 18, Middleton Road at 23rd Street is reduced to one lane for horizontal drilling and water main tie-in to the existing system. Daily work is scheduled during business hours on weekdays. Signs are posted near the work area.
Education Fair
In honor of American Education Week, which runs Sunday through Nov. 19, the Barden Education Center hosts an on-post Education Fair Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the main lobby. Northern Virginia Community College, Park University, University of Maryland University College, Central Michigan University, Old Dominion, Troy and Webster University School Representatives will be available to discuss their programs. Scholarship and Education Funding for Survivors
Survivor Outreach Services hosts a Scholarship and Education Funding for Survivors workshop Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Army Community Service, Bldg. 200. Holiday Craft Boutique & Family Funfest
The Belvoir Officers' Spouses' Club hosts a Holiday Craft Boutique and Family Fun Fest Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at George Mason University Field House at the intersection of Ox Road and University Drive, Fairfax, Va.
The event features more than 75 craft vendors, entertainment, children's play zone, scavenger hunt, silent auction, cake decorating contest and giveaways. The event benefits Belvoir Officers' Spouses' Club programs, activities, philanthropy and scholarships.
Admission is $4 for adults, $6 for a Family. Children 6 and younger admitted free.

Woodworking safety class
Woodworkers wishing to use the Wood Shop are required to complete a mandatory safety class. The class is Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m. The wood shop is closed to non-class members during the class.
The cost of the class is $5, which is credited toward taking another class offered by the wood shop within six months. Upon completion of the class, patrons must sign a user's agreement and receive a qualification card. Valid cards from other installations are honored, however patrons, must ask for assistance, and receive training, on unfamiliar equipment.
