5K Fun Walk/Run
AMC will have a 5K Fun Walk/Run Saturday at Graves Fitness Center in support of prevention of Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence and the Month of the Military Child. It will be open to ID card holders only. First, second and third place medals will be awarded for youth, men and women's categories. Registration is at 8 a.m. with the Walk/Run starting at 8:30 a.m.

Formation run
Fort Belvoir's 2008 formation run will be May 9 at 7 a.m. at Pullen Field. An organizational meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Graves Fitness Center. Summer bowling leagues
The Fort Belvoir Bowling Center will offer two summer bowling leagues.
The Summer Mixed Trios league begins May 22 at 7 p.m. with an organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. that day. The league will be a managed league with handicap based on 250. The league bowls for 13 weeks and consists of three-person coed teams. League fees are $10 weekly. Bowlers age 15 and up are eligible; bowlers under age 18 require written parental permission. League is limited to 24 teams.
The Belvoir Sport Trios league begins May 20 at 7 p.m. with an organizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. that day. The league will be a USBC sanctioned PBA Experience Sport league and consist of three-person teams. USBC regular membership ($19) plus sport upgrade ($9) is required. League fees are $20 weekly. Individual handicap will be based on 80% of 200. The league bowls for 13 weeks and will use, on a rotating schedule, the five oil patterns currently used on the PBA tour. League is limited to 20 teams.

Swimming lessons

Red Cross lifeguard training
Red Cross lifeguard training classes at Benyaurd Pool begin Friday and run through May 11, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 5 to 9:30 p.m. $160 fee includes pool fee, text and materials. Must be able to swim 300 yards, 12 pool lengths, be able to retrieve a 10 pound weight from the pool bottom and be at least 15 years of age. More information is available at 703 805-2620.
Mixed martial arts
Ultimate Warrior Challenge Mixed Martial Arts will host "UWC - Invasion" at the George Mason University Patriot Center in Fairfax Saturday. Army Ten-Miler registration
Registration for the 24th annual Army Ten-Miler is now open. The race is 8 a.m. Oct. 5 at the Pentagon. The early registration fee is $47 and goes up to $55 after June 30.

U.S. Air Force Cycling Classic
The U.S. Air Force hosts an all-day cycling event May 4 at 1 Air Force Memorial Dr., Arlington.
The day begins at 7 a.m. with a 12.5 kilometer "Peoples Ride," for serious and casual cyclists. Bronze, silver and gold medals will be awarded for those who complete two, four, or eight laps within the course's 3.5-hour window.
At 10:30 a.m., the Navy, Army and U.S. Air Force service academies compete in a time trial around the Crystal Drive circuit.
The day's featured event is the Men's Pro Circuit, followed by the Kid's Race for ages 9 and under, and the Women's Pro Criterium.
Entry fees are $70 general entry, $60 Active Duty and Reserve servicemembers. Fees include t-shirt, timing chip rental, finisher's medal, refreshments and an Active.com registration fee. Online registration closes May 1 at 9 p.m.

Virginia Senior Games registration
Registration is open for the 2008 Virginia Senior Games. The Games feature over 50 sporting events for competitors ages 50 and over and will be held May 8 to 11 and May 16 to 18 in Virginia Beach, Va. The Games also feature a health fair, luncheon and barbeque social and athlete celebration. Registration is available online and ends April 28. MWR spring fitness classes
New classes this session are Cardio-Pump, Turbo-Kick and Ab-Blast. An evening Zumba class and a Saturday indoor cycling class are now available at Graves Fitness Center. The schedule is:
Pilates classes are from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays in Specker Field House.
Indoor cycling classes are 6 to 7 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Graves. Water bottle, towel and stiff-soled shoes are recommended.
Rep Fusion classes are Tuesdays, from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. at Specker and from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. at Graves. The class gets the heart pumping, using dumbbells and barbells, and gives abs a workout.
Step-n-Sculpt is a 60-minute workout with 45 minutes of step and 15 minutes of upper and lower body work. Classes are 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at Specker.
Zumba classes are at Graves from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Thursdays, and at Specker from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Fridays. This class has a Latin feel, with some jazz moves, and is excellent for the mid-section and heart.
Kickboxing classes are from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Mondays at Graves. This high-charged workout, with high kicks and punches, is an excellent workout for overall toning and fat-burning.
Turbo Kick classes are Wednesdays from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. at Graves. The class offers a high-impact workout where participants kick, punch and move to music.
Cardio Pump classes sculpt and burn fat on a higher lever, using body bars, weights and bands. Classes are Thursdays from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. at Specker.
Ab Blast classes are Fridays from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.

Youth track registration

Girls youth softball
