Officers' Club Summer Splash
Everyone is welcome to the Summer Splash at the Officers' Club pool from 11 a.m .to 3 p.m. Saturday. $10 admission includes a day pool pass, food, live band and children's activities.

Pool No. 1 now open
Celebrate summer at Pool No. 1, located at 18 th Street on South Post. Hours are noon to 7 p.m. June 20 to July 30; noon to 4 p.m. July 31; and noon to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 1 to 23.

NOVA Military Tennis League
The NOVA Military Tennis League is now open to men and women 19 years of age and older as a part of USTA League Tennis. Games are played from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Sundays on the South
Post tennis courts.
The season features local, area and sectional championships which culminate in a national championship.

Spinning class
Graves Fitness Center offers indoor cycling (Spinning) classes from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday.
Spinning is an incomparable aerobit workout using a specialized stationary bike and burns between 400 to 600 calories in 40 minutes. Spinning also tones quadriceps, hamstrings, back and hips.
A water bottle, towel and stiff-soled shoes are recommended.

Cross country run rescheduled
The intramural cross country run originally scheduled for June 9 has been rescheduled for July 7 at the North Post Golf Course.

WAMAC varsity golf tournament
The Fort Belvoir 2009 WAMAC varsity golf tournament is July 24 at Andrews AFB.
The tournament is open to active duty military and attached or assigned to Fort Belvoir or retirees who have the skills to compete.

Dodgeball tournament
A dodgeball tournament is Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Specker Field House. Teams must be at Specker by noon to check in.

Intramural bowling league
If you're a bowler and want to show the world, or just Fort Belvoir, join your organization's team and earn Commander's Cup points. Play starts on 24 June and runs through 2 August. Call 703-805-5589 for all the details.

AT&T National tickets
Tickets for the AT&T National, hosted by Tiger Woods at the Congressional Golf Club in Bethesda, are available at the Community Center from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday while supplies last.
The event is June 30 to July 5. Tickets are available for active duty, reserves, retirees, National Guard and DoD civilians, including authorized contractors. Individuals may have four tickets per person per event day, and government ID is required at venue entrance.

Cosmic Bowling
Cosmic Bowling is available Fridays and Saturdays through Aug. 14 at the Bowling Center from 5:30 p.m. to midnight. Rock and bowl with glow in the dark balls and pins!

Solomon Island Fishing Trip
Outdoor Recreation hosts a fishing trip to Solomon Island in the Chesapeake Bay July 5.
Lures, rods, reels, tackle, live bait and transportation are provided; bring a lunch, snack, drinks and a cooler.
Cost is $85, and a minimum of eight people is required for trip.

Outdoor Recreation does the driving
Outdoor Recreation is driving to the Leesburg Summer Brewfest Saturday so patrons can enjoy the festival and arrive home safely.
Forty of America's best breweries will be in attendance. Cost is $30 for festival admission and transportation. Call 703-805-1226 for details.

Boater education
Flotilla 25-8 of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary offers a boating education course from 6 to 8 p.m. July 6 to 9 at the West Marine store, 601 S. Patrick Street in Alexandria.
D.C., Maryland and Virginia fine boat operators who have no evidence of taking a boating safety class are welcome. The course meets the boating education requirements for all states.
Students receive a manual, certificate and card showing class completion.
Cost is $40 per student, or $60 if two people share a manual.

Golf until dark at Golf Club
The Fort Belvoir Golf Club offers $15 cart and golf for players who tee off at 4 p.m. and play until dark. More information is available at 703-806-5878.
Youth rugby
Springfield Youth Club Rugby is celebrating ten years of touch and tackle rugby for children ages 6 to 16 this summer.

Youth sports registration
Registration is now open for the following youth sports:
Tennis clinic is open for ages 7 to 15 through July 24 for one-week clinic in August. $45.
Junior golf clinic is open for ages 7 to 15 through Friday. Clinic begins July 1, and space is limited to 15 per age group. $65.
Cheerleading camp is open for ages 5 to 15 through today for the camp July 27 to 31. $30.
Tackle football is open for ages 7 to 15 through Aug. 21 for the August to November season. $85.
Cheerleading (football) for ages 5 to 15 is open through Aug. 21 for the August to November season. $55.
Basketball camp for ages 7 to 15 is open through July 18 for the camp July 13 to 17. $30.

Adult recreational volleyball
Anyone over the age of 21 years is welcome to play Adult Recreational Volleyball every Sunday 3 to 6 p.m. outdoors on the grass courts in front of the bleachers of Parade Field No. 2 near Wells Field House.
